Hemel based business becomes a Champion
A decade of working to train and retain its staff has helped Hemel Hempstead business, Northgate achieve Champion status in a national awards scheme.
The specialist transformation division of Northgate Public Services, which has its headquarters in Hemel Hempstead and offices in the south east including Marlow, Buckinghamshire, works with local authorities to help them deliver services to local people as efficiently as possible.
It has recently been awarded Investors in People Gold status, meaning that the organisation has gone beyond the nationally recognised Standard and achieved the highest award possible. It was then invited to become an Investors in People Champion to act as an ambassador for other businesses and organisations.
Joe Bradley, Managing Director of Citizen Services, Northgate Public Services, said: “Our transformation division has had unprecedented success in working with people in the public sector. A central part of our strategy is that we offer organisations sustainable solutions by building the capacity and capability of their own staff.
“We practise what we preach. Our investment in people is an integral and vital part of our development. Now more than ever, it is essential to invest in people to provide them with the capability to respond to change through innovation.”
Northgate Public Services staff celebrated attaining Champion status with the formal presentation of the Investors in People Champion plaque to the division at the Peoplebuilding, Hemel Hempstead.
Commenting on the business’s achievement, Trish Fraser, Managing Director of Quality South East, said: “Northgate has been involved with Investors in People for ten years and truly deserve the accolade of Gold status. I am delighted they want to share their positive experience with other organisations as one of our Champions.”
