A guide to Internal Review |

![]()
Once you have achieved Investors in People status, you will want to ensure that you continue to benefit from working with the framework. IBP offers ongoing support and can help you through your continuing journey and here are a few developments for you to consider:
For those organisations who want to work beyond The Standard, Investors in People has introduced three levels of additional recognition - Bronze, Silver and Gold. These three levels are designed to celebrate success as well as sign-post areas for further business improvement, and provide additional challenge for those who want it.
For more information please download our detailed information sheet.
Investors in People Champions are a prestigious group of role model organisations who promote Investors in People through a series of best practice sharing activities.
Those organisations achieving Gold recognition may be invited to apply to become a Champion.
The Ambassador Programme promotes Investors in People through the personal experience and recommendation of individuals. Ambassadors are individuals with an in-depth knowledge of implementing Investors in People in their organisations. They speak at events, provide comment to the press, and take part in networking to communicate the benefits of becoming an Investor in People.
Investors in People remains an employer-led Standard and employer representation is key to its success. IBP is happy to hear from clients who would like to nominate a representative who would be happy to work with us as an official Employer Representative. If you are interested in learning more about the role, please contact your Client Co-ordinator.
Internal Review is an alternative approach to managing your Investors in People review based on using the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the people in your organisation to drive your business forward.
How it works is that you select a team of your employees who will be trained as internal assessors. Their job will be to gather evidence for your review under the direction and control of an external managing assessor.

In today’s climate there’s increased pressure on employees to meet goals and manage more demanding workloads. Many employers are realising that effective health and wellbeing programmes are key to delivering the flexibility they need for continued innovation and growth. In this context, Investors in People is introducing the new Health and Wellbeing Good Practice Award to help you get sustained performance from your people.
This new Award follows the same tried and tested formula as the Investors in People Standard. It is flexible and easy to use. The Award is outcome focused, outlining what you need to achieve, but never prescribing how.
